ONLINE GROUP LEARNING AND CONNECTION

Microaggressions — Power dynamics — Cultural transformation — Self care: There’s so much to talk about, learn about, and get more deeply connected over. Whether you’re looking to brush up on your skills, be in deeper conversation, increase your capacity to agitate, or connect with others to create a healing space, there’s a group for you!

Each program is designed to create a collaborative and empowering working environment, whether you've been in "the movement" for twenty minutes, twenty years, or (like most of us) somewhere in between.

Grounded in Relationship

Not Being Offered At This Time

Community Healing Collective

Looking for a supportive environment to reflect more deeply, and to better process the emotional toll that oppression takes on us?

Gather with other ARE members to share stories, strategies, and solidarity. Bring your struggles and your grief; we’ll work through them together––then encourage and re-empower each other again toward wholeness. One of the most powerful acts of resistance we can bring to one another is the feeling, deep in our bones, that we are not alone.

Discussion Groups

What do micro-aggressions, cultural misappropriation, power dynamics, and movement-based organizational models all have in common? They all lead to deeper conversations!

ARE Discussion Groups give you an opportunity to delve into complex concepts that looked simple on the surface, and clarify ideas that seemed muddled at first glance.

Uprooting White Supremacy

Leadership Development Cohorts

"We’ve been doing a lot of education in this area, which is great, but what now? "

For those who have “been there, done that,” ARE's Leadership Development Cohorts keep challenging participants to uproot white supremacy in themselves and their communities even more. From building skills to address conflict and oppressive behavioral patterns, to developing strategies for transforming our UU communities, cohorts invite us to the leading edge of change.

Learning Circles

Looking to deepen analysis and hone skills to counter oppression with accountability partners? Wishing you could get some practice at the consensus process with a group of folks committed to equitable decision-making? Searching for new and creative ways to disrupt white supremacy?

ARE Learning Circles are dedicated to getting at the roots of inequity.

Don’t see something you’re looking for here? Contact us at theTeam(at)uuare.org and we’ll talk about your specific goals!

We are building an anti-racist movement of white Unitarian Universalists to dismantle white supremacy in ourselves, our congregations, and communities.
